How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your account.

We will verify your identity before processing the request and confirm deletion within 5 business days.

What Gets Deleted

Upon a verified deletion request, we remove:

  • Your user account and profile information
  • All entities (businesses and personal accounts) you own
  • All transaction records within those entities
  • Plaid bank connections and associated access tokens
  • Uploaded documents, logos, and avatar images
  • Dashboard widgets and configurations
  • Voice recordings and transcriptions
  • CSV/Excel import files and column mappings

Deletion Timeline

Standard deletion. When you delete an entity through Account Settings, it enters a 30-day archive period (data is read-only), followed by a 7-day pending deletion window. After 37 days total, data is soft-deleted.

Expedited deletion. If you submit a verified deletion request via email, we can process the deletion immediately without the standard retention window.

Self-Service Deletion Options

You can manage data deletion directly within the app:

  • Disconnect a bank account: Entity Settings > remove the Plaid connection. This revokes the access token and stops all data syncing immediately.
  • Delete an entity: Account Settings > Entities > select the entity to delete. This begins the 37-day retention and deletion process.
  • Undo a CSV import: Within 24 hours of an import, you can undo it to remove all imported transactions.

Data We Retain

Chat message logs are retained as a permanent audit trail even after account deletion, but are anonymized and not associated with your identity. We may also retain aggregated, non-identifiable usage data for service improvement purposes.
